Hits Galore: Colon Drills 5 Hits Thursday, June 11th , 2026 Today at PBC Rookie Development Complex, Mario Colon put on an impressive display. The St. Louis (R) Lions right fielder tagged Detroit (R) pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Detroit (R) Motors by the score of 8-6. "The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Colon said. "5-for-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, the Lions manager was unwilling to offer the right fielder much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses. "Mario told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager Jens Heuts said. Mario Colon doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
