Tapia Gone for Season in Los Angeles (R) Thursday, May 28th , 2026 Earlier today, Los Angeles (R) starting pitcher Carlos Tapia had to leave the game against San Diego (R) because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a damaged elbow ligament and will miss 13 months of play. Tapia was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. So far this season, Tapia has logged a 1-1 record with a 9.39 ERA. He has started 0 games, hurled 23 innings and registered 21 strikeouts and 23 walks. |
