Files Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Friday, May 8th , 2026 Tim Files did a number on the Motors in the 14-3 Miami (R) victory -- and the number was 5. The Sun Sox center fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at PBC Rookie Development Complex to lead his club past the Detroit (R) Motors. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Tim Files doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
