Detroit (R) 3B Mlynarczyk Will Miss 5 Months Monday, May 4th , 2026 Earlier today, Detroit (R) third baseman Steve Mlynarczyk had to leave the game against Boston (R) because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a severely strained hip muscle and will miss 5 months of play. Mlynarczyk was hurt running the bases and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. Currently Mlynarczyk is batting .500 with no home runs, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. |
