Howard Named Top Reliever for RCLW Saturday, October 24th , 2026 Pat Howard was a calming influence out of the Houston (R) Mavericks bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 19-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the RCL West Reliever of the Year Award for 2026. The Georgetown, South Carolina native won the award with 11 saves in 53 relief appearances, 85 strikeouts in 80.1 innings and a record of 6-7 to go with his 3.25 ERA. He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 24. Antonio Jimenez of the Los Angeles (R) Knights finished second in voting with 10 first place votes, while Felix Flores of the Vancouver (R) Grizzlies finished third with 2 first place votes.
