Tony Venegas Captures Prestigious Trophy Thursday, September 24th , 2026 The future looks extremely bright for Tony Venegas. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in Amateur Baseball Circuit. Venegas has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Eastern Amateur Circuit Most Valuable Player Award. "I didn't expect to hit .315 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said. The Fort Wayne Farmers star also put up a .397 on-base percentage this year, with 161 hits, 24 doubles, 2 triples, 26 home runs, 78 RBIs and 90 runs scored. He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 20. Joe Ruthman of the Long Beach Titans finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Joey McCall of the Brooklyn Atlantics finished third with 3 first place votes.
