WAC's Best Pitcher is Katsnelson Wednesday, September 23rd , 2026 It was a glorious year for Kenny Katsnelson of the Albuquerque Coyotes. He finished the season with 7 victories and only 6 losses, with an impressive 2.50 ERA. The talented Coyotes pitcher started 25 games and struck out 96 batters in 147.1 innings and won the Western Amateur Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award. "It means a lot," Katsnelson said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 20. Matt Mann of the New Orleans Buccaneers finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Jose Gonzalez of the Yuma Gnomes finished third with 1 first place vote.
