Oil City Devastated by Playoff Elimination Wednesday, September 2nd , 2026 The Oil City Oilers players and coaches held a closed-door meeting today after the club was eliminated from postseason contention. "We just wanted to talk about the season and where we are right now and how we get to our ultimate goal," said a dejected Jadon McClendon. "We don't want to have this feeling next season." This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2023. In total, the Oilers have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 22-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Oilers have missed the playoffs 8 times. Oil City last won the Amateur Circut Cup in 2023. |
