Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Santana Thursday, August 13th , 2026 The San Diego Aztecs may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 15-7, to the Yuma Gnomes, but Roberto Santana continued to hit like a god. The left fielder collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Santana is playing great and is on fire right now," Aztecs manager Cody Lang said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Santana was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Roberto Santana grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. So far on the season, Santana is hitting .319 with 15 home runs, 63 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He has 141 hits and played in 117 games. |
