Tulsa's Briones to Miss Season Wednesday, July 1st , 2026 The doctors have spoken and Armando Briones of the Tulsa Twisters didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Briones sustained his season-ending injury during the Albuquerque Coyotes game yesterday at Tulsa Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Tulsa medical staff reported Briones had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. Checking out his stats for the season, Briones has registered 1 win and 1 loss in 9 starts, posted a 5.47 ERA, and struck out 18 batters in 26.1 innings. |
