New Orleans's Keener Out 13-14 Months Thursday, June 11th , 2026 A blow for Joe Keener today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 13-14 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Keener suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the New Orleans Buccaneers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Keener's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. In the 2026 season Keener has worked 14.2 innings in 11 relief appearances and earned 3 saves. He has dished out 19 strikeouts and walked 6 with a 1-1 mark and a 2.45 ERA. |
