Litterell Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, May 27th , 2026 It was a high-five day for Joe Litterell, at least for a while. The St. Petersburg center fielder got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Oil City Oilers, but they were in short supply at the end, as Oil City won the game, 11-10. Litterell finished with an impressive 5-for-7 line, but the Pelicans couldn't hold off the Oilers. "Joe was hitting everything," said Pelicans manager Kyle Moe. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Joe Litterell hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Pete Eaker in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Kevin Bridges in the 12th.
