5 Hits for Mavericks McNamara Tuesday, May 5th , 2026 It was high-fives all around for Nate McNamara at The Sun Bowl. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the San Diego Aztecs. McNamara smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 6-5 win. "Nate was hitting everything," said Mavericks manager Kevin Jones. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Aztecs manager Cody Lang told BNN beat writers that McNamara "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, McNamara oversleeps next time." Nate McNamara singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and doubled in the 10th.
