Lions Advance to Cup Qualifier Tuesday, October 6th , 2026 The sweet swing of Julio Gonzales has led his team through the Play-in Series. The St. Louis Lions star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Chicago Union to advance to the Cup Qualifier. The Lions won the final game at Trident Field by a score of 5-3 and the series 4-2. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Gonzales. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Gonzales hit .320 with a .346 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 3 runs.
