Baker Sparkles in 7-0 Blanking of Atlanta Friday, September 25th , 2026 The Atlanta Pilots manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Toronto Titans. The Pilots were overpowered by Toronto starter Orion Baker, who hurled his club to victory, 7-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Richard Schermerhorn said. Over 9 innings, Baker blanked Atlanta on 2 hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Baker said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." This season, Baker has a 10-5 mark in 22 starts with a 2.59 ERA. He has given up 124 hits in 152.2 innings, struck out 137 and issued 30 walks.
