Milagres Connects for 3 Homers for Loons Friday, August 28th , 2026 Minnesota Loons first baseman Adolfo Milagres put on a dazzling display of power at The Asylum at Loons Ballpark against the Vancouver Grizzlies. In the 15-0 Loons victory, Milagres penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Vancouver manager David Schaff said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 31-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Milagres said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Adolfo Milagres hit a two-run home run off Jonathan Douglas in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jonathan Douglas in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Chris Smith in the 8th. This year, Milagres has hit at a .300 clip with 83 hits, 18 home runs, 45 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
