Huibert Zwiers Gets Hit Number 1000 Sunday, June 7th , 2026 Motors center fielder Huibert Zwiers never thought his name would be associated with some of the great players in league history. Now that he has reached the 1000-hit threshold, that's all but guaranteed. Zwiers collected his big hit in a 14-6 loss to Tampa Bay. Afterward, he thought about the achievement: "Overwhelmed," he said. "That's how I feel about it right now." Zwiers went 3-for-4 for the game.
