Zamarripa goes 3-for-5 to Light Peanuts Fuse
The San Francisco Peanuts beat the Vancouver Grizzlies, 10-4, at The Den at Grizzly Park. San Francisco designated hitter Alfredo Zamarripa had an outstanding performance. He was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Tony Villanueva picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-1 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Ryousei Fujii got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

The Peanuts got a big hit from center fielder Oscar de la Cruz. Facing Vancouver pitcher Matthew Browning in the top of the eighth, de la Cruz pounded a bases-clearing double to center. His 2nd double of the season put the Peanuts ahead, 10-3.

"What we get, we earn," Zamarripa told the San Francisco Daily News.
