Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Keystones Stadium.

The New York City Gothams spoiled a good performance by Philadelphia first baseman Maurice Brian, bumping off Philadelphia, 8-6, at Keystones Stadium. Brian belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. New York City reliever Ryousei Fujii was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Justin Mortensen.

Had Brock Metcalf not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Metcalf hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Gothams.

"I felt good up there," said Metcalf. "I saw the ball well."

New York City now has a record of 44-42 with the win.
