Roadrunners Take Tight Tilt, 4-1
The San Diego Roadrunners picked up a win at Tony Gywnn Park, knocking off the Dallas Texans, 4-1. Starting pitcher Randy Olague was a big reason why. San Diego reliever Ray Escamilla picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Clint Labonte took the loss. The Roadrunners improved their record to 39-42 with the win over Dallas.

San Diego got a clutch hit from Carel van Eerden. The catcher launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"Randy made some good pitches in some situations he needed to make them in," said San Diego manager Larry Link.
