The Tampa Bay Thunder defeated the Chicago Union, 4-3, at The Thunder Bowl. Leading the charge for Tampa Bay was first baseman Tom Higgins. He went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Thunder bumped their record to 40-38 with this latest triumph.

Tampa Bay took a 4-3 lead on Ivan Villalva's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Villalva hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chicago pitcher Josh Kingsbury visibly frustrated.

"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Higgins.
