Roadrunners Send Houston Home with 5-2 Loss
The San Diego Roadrunners tallied a win at Tony Gywnn Park, throttling the Houston Mavericks, 5-2. Starting pitcher Josh Hunt was a big reason for his team's success. Earning the save was Ray Escamilla. He's now cashed in 15 of 17 save opportunities. San Diego is now 36-39, Houston 41-34.

San Diego third baseman Josh Ball contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a sinker to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 70th hit of the season and put the Roadrunners ahead, 4-2.

"Josh pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said San Diego manager Larry Link.
