Knights Take Tight Tangle
The Knights grabbed a win, 5-4, at Mavericks Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Houston pitcher Victor Oliva. Oliva went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Reliever Quincy Brooks picked up the win. His record improves to 4-6. Jacob Alderfer, the 12th overall pick in the 2024 draft, took the loss. Los Angeles now has a record of 39-33 with the win.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Sergio Serrano? The 26-year old left fielder Serrano stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Los Angeles up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Serrano. "And not try to do too much."
