Thanks in large part to first baseman Paul Jones, the Arizona Suns beat the Las Vegas Aces, 6-3. Jones was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Dylan Hicks zipped up his 12th save. The Suns raised their record to 29-42.

Arizona took a 6-3 lead on Edgar Gonzalez's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Gonzalez hit in the top of the seventh, left Las Vegas pitcher Gary Ayala visibly frustrated.

In postgame comments, Jones told the Arizona Herald: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
