6-4 Loss to Thunder Extends Boston Losing Streak
The Tampa Bay Thunder finished off the Boston Shamrocks, 6-4. Much of the credit belonged to third baseman Matt Durgan. Durgan was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Thunder. Damani Peterson snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 3 innings. He's now 1-2 on the season. This win makes it 5 in a row for Tampa Bay.

Had Bob Ortega not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ortega hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Thunder.
