The San Diego Roadrunners beat the Las Vegas Aces, 10-7, at Tony Gywnn Park. Abel Smith, who finished 3rd in the WC in stolen bases with 56 last year, starred for San Diego. He went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. San Diego reliever Jim Parker picked up the win to move to 2-0. Garrett Vogt suffered the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Roadrunners have raced to a strong start this season.

San Diego took the lead, 6-5, on Jaheem Baker's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Las Vegas pitcher Garrett Vogt in the bottom of the eighth.

"The vibe's good," said San Diego manager Larry Link. "We've got to keep it going."
