The St. Louis Lions locked up a win at The Lions Hearth, knocking off the Miami Sun Sox, 5-3. On the mound for St. Louis was right-hander Ben Sumpter. He played a major role in the triumph. Sumpter got the win, improving to 7-1. He gave up 11 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The win for the Lions raised their record to 27-17.

Adrian Logan was 1-3 with a walk for St. Louis. The 2025 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Julian Branscomb. It was his 18th walk of the season.
