The Las Vegas Aces defeated the El Paso Diablos, 9-5, in Western Circuit action at Inferno Field. Las Vegas pitcher Troy Degenstein had a standout performance. Degenstein, now 7-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. The Aces bumped their record to 23-16 with this win.

In the top of the sixth, Rich Perez delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Las Vegas first baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Aces in front, 9-5.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Casey Lyman said.
