The Detroit Motors got a superb performance from pitcher Geoff Becker, but the Chicago Union still won the game, 6-2. Becker threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. With the win, Chicago upped its record to 36-17.

Jay Clinkscales, who finished 2nd in the EC in stolen bases with 68 in 2024, took Detroit hurler Mike Loverde deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Union on top, 2-1. In all, Clinkscales had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

Clinkscales attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
