Boston first baseman Chris Mauro helped his team beat the Miami Sun Sox, 12-5. Mauro, who finished 5th in the EC in doubles with 20 last year, went 3 for 5 for the Shamrocks. The Boston winning streak has reached 5 games.

With Boston leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Mauro hit a curveball from Bob Schwartz for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Shamrocks ahead, 3-0.
