Sanchez Homers Twice in 10-6 Diablos Win
The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Inferno Field.

The El Paso Diablos powered past the Vancouver Grizzlies, 10-6, at Inferno Field. Andres Sanchez provided some of the pop. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Joel Ibarra got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings. Ken Trombley closed the game out for El Paso, earning his 1st save.

With El Paso leading 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Sanchez hit a run-scoring single off Vancouver hurler Chris Smith. It was the 6th hit of the season for Sanchez and put his team ahead, 6-4.

In postgame comments to the El Paso Today, Sanchez said, "Our goal is to stack wins."

Vancouver now has a record of 2-2.
