Roadrunners Jolt Loons, 5-2, with Late Rally
The San Diego Roadrunners converted a terrific effort from starter Randy Olague into a win over the Minnesota Loons at Tony Gywnn Park. The Roadrunners won the game by a final score of 5-2. The victory gives the Roadrunners a record of 17-16.

Had Josh Ball not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ball hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Roadrunners.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ball. "And not try to do too much."
