Atlanta picked up a win at The Hangar, bumping off the Washington Warriors, 1-0. Pitcher Steve Yates was a major reason the Pilots emerged victorious. The Pilots, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.

In the bottom of the second, John Ward delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Atlanta third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Pilots in front, 1-0.
