David Allen did a number on the Pelicans in the 9-5 Long Beach victory -- and the number was 5. The Titans shortstop banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Ballpark of St. Petersburg to lead his club past the St. Petersburg Pelicans.

"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."

David Allen singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
