The Las Vegas Aces converted a terrific effort from starter Eric Dixon into a win over the Dallas Texans at Caesers Palace Colosseum. The Aces won the game by a final score of 5-2. Dixon, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 10, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Gary Ayala earned save number 3.

Wayne Hanlin had a big run-scoring double for the Aces in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Las Vegas leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Steve Bender and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 4-2.

"I went after the hitters," said Dixon. "No pussyfooting around."

The Aces have an impressive 14-7 record.
