St. Louis Tops Chicago, 4-2, Claims 2-1 Series Lead

Leave it to the veteran.
The St. Louis Lions got a great start from 36-year-old right-hander Ryan Williams, as St. Louis won the contest, 4-2, at The Lions Hearth. Williams threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs in the win, which allowed the Lions to grab a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
In the bottom of the 1st, St. Louis took the lead on a 2-run double by Charlie Spence. At the time, the Lions were trailing 1-0, but Spence's hit with two outs against Chicago pitcher Jon Naugle put them in front, 2-1.
Spence said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Lions Hearth in St. Louis.
