Alex Mendez did a number on the Texans in the 13-5 Seattle (R) victory -- and the number was 5. The Gulls shortstop banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at PBC Rookie Development Complex to lead his club past the Dallas (R) Texans.

"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."
