Thunder Win Cup Qualifier Wednesday, October 8th , 2025 It was a rousing finish to the Cup Qualifier at PBC Rookie Development Complex today. The Tampa Bay (R) Thunder sent the Atlanta (R) Pilots home for the season with a 15-6 win in the decisive game of the series. The Thunder took the series 4-3. Up next on their schedule is the Championship Cup. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Tampa Bay (R) center fielder Ruben Garza. His numbers included a .414 batting average, 10 RBIs and 6 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Championship Cup," he said. The Championship Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Cup Qualifier finishes.
