A 20-game hitting spree is now history after de la Rosa was unable to make anything happen in 2 at-bats today against the El Paso (R) Diablos. Fortunately for de la Rosa and the Cutthroats, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 5-4. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 20 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." For the year, de la Rosa is hitting .324 with 9 home runs. His stats include 55 runs batted in and 69 runs scored. |
