5-Hit Barrage by Howells Saturday, September 20th , 2025 El Paso (R) second baseman Chris Howells had a big day at PBC Rookie Development Complex against the Dallas (R) Texans. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 8-5 Diablos triumph over Dallas (R). "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Howells said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Chris Howells singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Alan Raben in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
