Gomez Shows Off, Hits for Cycle Friday, September 19th , 2025 Finishing with 4 hits is a great day for any player, but Mike Gomez made it even more special by hitting for the cycle at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Gomez had 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run for the El Paso (R) Diablos and led them to a win, 8-7, over the Dallas (R) Texans. The shortstop also finished with 2 runs scored and 3 runs batted in. "Awesome," Gomez said when asked how the accomplishment felt. Mike Gomez doubled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Mark Steiner in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run triple in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
