RCLW's Top Player, Pinela of Vancouver (R) Monday, September 8th , 2025 Lupe Pinela must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .476 clip, then the Vancouver (R) catcher finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the RCLW Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Pinela batted .476 (10-for-21) with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. This season, Pinela has posted a batting average of .257 with 91 hits in 354 at-bats, 14 home runs and 62 RBIs. He has also scored 38 runs, walked 48 times and compiled a .347 OBP. |
