John Kutzman Injured, Out for Year Monday, August 25th , 2025 It took the New York City (R) team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher John Kutzman won't simply play through a torn ulnar collateral ligament after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Shamrocks-Gothams game. At first, it looked like Kutzman might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 10-11 months. On his stats sheet this season, Kutzman shows a 2-1 record, 8 starts, 35.2 innings, 39 strikeouts and a 2.27 ERA. |
