Detroit (R)'s Mertz Out 10 Months Friday, July 11th , 2025 Ahren Mertz had to leave the Motors game against Chicago (R) after suffering a stretched elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. He will be out of the lineup at least 10 months. He told reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong." In 11 starts this season, Mertz has compiled a 2-4 record and a 4.45 ERA. |
