Yuma Pitcher Racks Up Pitcher of the Year Award Wednesday, September 24th , 2025 The spotlight today is on Mike Terranova of the Yuma Gnomes. He was named the top pitcher in the Western Amateur Circuit and will be honored with the 2025 Pitcher of the Year Award. Terranova compiled an impressive 12-4 won-lost mark to capture this year's honor. In 166.2 innings of work and 26 starts, the Gnomes star struck out 167, while giving up 158 hits and 40 walks. He limited opposing batters to a .250 average. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Bob Gomez of the Hollywood Stars finished second in voting, while Bobby Karres of the Hollywood Stars finished third.
