Manhattan's Obata to Miss Season Saturday, August 30th , 2025 The season is ending on a bad note for Yoshiyasu Obata, starting pitcher for the Manhattan Liberty. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Obata was hurt against the Providence Grays while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 13 months. To date this season, Obata has compiled a 4-3 record with a 4.59 ERA in 15 starts. |
