Fort Wayne Snaps Porter Streak at 20 Tuesday, August 26th , 2025 Long Beach Titans shortstop Dylan Porter and his hot bat finally met their match at Farmers Field. The Fort Wayne Farmers snapped his 20-game hitting string, holding Porter hitless in 3 at-bats and also whipping Long Beach, 9-3, for good measure. "We're real pleased with this one," Farmers manager Danny Collins said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Long Beach makes it even sweeter." Porter is hitting .311 for the season with 8 home runs, 48 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 84 hits in 270 at-bats and played in 74 games. |
