Manhattan's Velez EAC's Best Monday, August 25th , 2025 Swinging a hot stick last week, Alex Velez picked up the Eastern Amateur Circuit Player of the Week Award today. The 29-year-old first baseman for Manhattan lashed 7 hits in 16 at-bats as he put together a .438 average with 5 home runs. Velez also drove in 8 runs, scored 8 times and compiled a .591 OBP. Thus far this year, Velez has hit .235 with 23 home runs and 52 RBIs. |
