Year Over for Pelicans Owens Monday, August 4th , 2025 Mike Owens will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the St. Petersburg starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Owens was injured while throwing a pitch in the Pelicans-Liberty clash at Central Park recently. Doctors said he has a torn labrum and would be out a minimum of 6-7 months. In the current season in 20 starts, Mike Owens has a record of 8-7 with 102 strikeouts in 114 innings and a 5.29 ERA. |
