Cohen Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, July 6th , 2025 Fans at Oil City (R) Grounds got to see not only a home-team victory, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Hollywood Stars outplayed the Dallas Bulls en route to a 7-4 win, but the standout was first baseman Kevin Cohen. Cohen netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Bulls manager Chris Petrella said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Kevin Cohen singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Manny Ruiz in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In the current season, Cohen has put up a .290 batting average with 51 hits, 4 home runs, 19 RBI and scored 22 runs. View Boxscore |
